A long engineering career in the automobile and brewing industry led into energy management as the Energy Manager for the Bass plc Group. This eventually resulted in the formation and running of an energy controls company and finally an HVAC company specialising in the energy efficient refurbishment of large HVAC systems in major commercial properties.
Barrie Waring has worked as a freelance energy consultant, over the last 20 years, and has a great depth and knowledge of numerous industrial and commercial activities. Although undertaking many general energy consultancy assignments Barrie has specialised in providing energy advice on industrial and commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning; as well as undertaking investigations into system design deficiencies and faults, giving recommendations into plant or system rectification and improvement.
Clients for whom work has recently been undertaken include a major television company, a large prestigious London theatre, manufacturers of vehicle tyres, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibres, and many more.
Barrie Waring holds an MSc in Engineering Technology from Cranfield University.
