What data does my organisation need to gather to measure our carbon emissions?All data required to calculate carbon emissions according to a recognised standard are set out in the data gathering templates available for our Acco2unt products.
Where can my organisation find the data that needs to be uploaded to Acco2unt?

The majority of data will be available from your organisation's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial systems.  This could comprise of utility bills, employee expense claims for business travel and invoices for deliveries.  Another source for business travel data could be the corporate travel agency.  Waste data should be available from your waste contractor. 

 

How can data be uploaded to the Greenstone solution? Data can be uploaded either manually, through an Excel spreadsheet with multiple rows of data or directly from an ERP or energy management system through a managed interface.
Who uploads data to the Greenstone solution; my organisation or Greenstone?Acco2unt products are intended to enable clients to manage their own carbon.  Acco2untlite is a step by step process that allows clients to upload their data.  For Acco2untenterprise the initial setup and uploading of data is assisted by Greenstone's Carbon Analysts.  Once the baseline calculation has been processed, data owners within your organisation should be able to upload future sets of data ongoing.
How frequently does my organisation need to upload data?Data can be uploaded to Acco2unt whenever it suits your organisation.  We find our clients usually upload data on a monthly basis, depending on its availability and other internal processes.
Can we integrate the Greenstone solution to our existing applications?Yes, we can integrate to existing applications via batch mode (flat files, XML files) and managed interfaces.
Where is my organisation's data stored within the Greenstone solution?The Greenstone solution is web based and hosted by an external service provider.  Your organisation's data is stored within your own database which is partitioned and is not visible to other clients.
How secure is my organisation's data? Your organisation's data is stored securely on servers which can be only accessed by authorised users.
What type of analysis can be undertaken on my organisation's data within Acco2unt?
Acco2unt provides a number of tools for analysing your organisation's data according to emission source, time, organisational hierarchy, carbon calculation methodology and normalisation parameters.  The Scenario Planner tool also provides an ability to understand the carbon impact of future business models. 

Can I monitor the associated costs of my organisation's carbon emissions within Acco2unt ?

 

Yes, users are able to upload the business cost associated with each emission source and analyse this in the Financial Data section of Acco2unt .
