In February 2008 a survey of Intellect members revealed that whilst they felt environmental issues were becoming increasingly important, few had implemented any energy auditing or related carbon management measures.  This lead to the development of a partnership between Intellect and Greenstone Carbon Management, to offer Intellect members access to Greenstone’s Acco₂unt product suite, a carbon accounting solution that calculates carbon exposure and benchmarks performance.

Intellect is the UK trade association for the technology industry.  High Tech Low Carbon Week 9th – 13th February, is a series of small events, technology demonstrations and debates all focused on the theme of “how technology is tackling climate change”.
